GEESJ is a subsidiary of General Electric Company of USA, a corporation headquartered in Chiba, Japan and performs the maintenance and repair for US registered aircraft engines as FAA-certified foreign repair station (FAA Repair Station No. GZOY576Y). GEESJ petitions to calibrate its inspection and test equipment to standards derived from Japan's National Institute of Advanced Science and Technology (AIST) in lieu of standards derived from the National Bureau of Standards (now the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
