Exemption
- Pilot in Command Airport Qualifications: Special Areas and Airports, Doppler Radar and
Internal Navigation System; Request for Evaluation; Equipment Installation; Training
Program; Equipment Accuracy and Reliability; Evaluation Program
Permanent relief is requested to allow UPS to establish a recurrent training program to maintain crewmember currency in the operation of special navigation equipment. This recurrent training program would be similar to the recurrent training program authorized by §121.433(d) for aircraft operation. The recurrent training program would consist of a combination of simulator training, ground school or homestudy. Crewmembers would be required to accomplish this recurrent training program on an annual basis.
