Comair Inc.

FAA-01-8634 January 5, 20001 Petition with Respect to Transborder Sots Domestic Slots

Comair, Inc. d/b/a Delta Connection ("Comair") hereby files this Petition requesting FAA to reclassify as domestic slots under 14 C.F.R. § 93.218 certain international slots which are used by Comair for U.S.-Canada transborder service. Comair currently uses these slots, identified in Attachment A, for service between LaGuardia Airport and Montreal, Canada. In the alternative, Comair requests a temporary two-year exemption from the provisions of 14 C.F.R. § 93.217 to the extent necessary to permit these slots to be used by Delta Air Lines, Inc. ("Delta") or by any of the Delta Connection carriers for Delta or Delta Connection services between LaGuardia and U.S. domestic cities.' Comair's preferred relief is the reclassification of the slots as domestic slots under § 93.218, but would accept the temporary exemption from § 93.217 if that would expedite FAA action.
