I wish to express my opposition to allowing Express I, NW Airlink from discontinuing service to the Jackson, TN airport,McKellar Field. This service is of great value to people in the West Tennessee area. While we are fairly close to both Memphis and Nashville, the necessity to drive to one of these cities every week or more often to catch a flight places a heavy burden. NW Airlink is a valuable asset to our community and can be even more so, if the traveling public is made more aware of the operation. I usually fly out of Jackson 40 or more times per year and sincerely hope that our service continues. While I understand the question of profitability for NW Airlink, I also believe that more can be done to protect the interests of West Tennesseans than to just abandon the service. Perhaps the carrier could explore more options.
