OST-2008-0086 - Exemption - US-Turks & Caicos March 4, 2008 Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. d/b/a Delta Connection applies for an exemption from 49 U.S.c. § 41101 to authorize Pinnacle to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between a point or points in the United States and points in the Turks & Caicos Islands. Pinnacle requests that this authority remain in effect for a period of two years or for such longer period as the Department sees fit to grant. Pinnacle plans to operate Atlanta, Georgia-Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands scheduled service with 76-seat CRJ-900 aircraft from its existing fleet. The route is currently served by Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines. Pinnacle will assume the schedule operated by ASA pursuant to a capacity purchase agreement with Delta Air Lines, Inc. Pinnacle plans to begin scheduled Atlanta- Providenciales service on or before June 9, 2008. Pinnacle will operate this service year-round up to six times per week supplementing Delta's Saturday mainline servIce. Pinnacle states that it will operate Atlanta-Providenciales service using 76-seat CRJ 900 aircraft, beginning on or before June 9, 2008. Pinnacle explains that it will assume the scheduled service currently operated by the Delta Connection carrier, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, pursuant to a capacity purchase agreement with Delta Air Lines, Inc., whereby Pinnacle will operate the subject service under Delta’s “DL*” code, supplementing Delta’s mainline service on the route.
