OST-2008-0059 - Exemption - Addition of Ft. Lauderdale as Co-Terminal Point - US-Trinidad & Tobago

February 11, 2008

Application for Exemption Authority

By this application, CAL seeks exemption authority to permit it to serve Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, as an additional U.S. co-terminal point. CAL proposes initially to serve the Trinidad and Tobago-Ft. Lauderdale market with four weekly B-737 nonstop flights. There currently is no nonstop or single plane service in this market so that grant of the exemption will result in important new air service for U.S. and Caribbean travelers.

The exemption is requested for one year. CAL requests expedited consideration of this application because, if possible, it would like to commence the service on or about March 9, 2008.
