Essential Air Service at Crescent City, California Issued and Served January 31, 2008 By this order, the Department is requesting proposals by March 7, 2008, from carriers interested in providing essential air service at Crescent City, California, for a new two-year period, beginning August 1, 2008, with or without subsidy. Carriers should file their proposals by March 7. Passengers overwhelmingly use the nonstop flights to San Francisco compared to the one-stop service to Sacramento. Because the vast majority of passengers use the San Francisco service, we will entertain proposals for stand alone nonstop service to San Francisco consisting of fourteen nonstop round trips per week.
