Order 2007-3-1 - Zantop International - Revoking Certificate Authority
|
Zantop International Airlines, Inc. Order 2007-3-1 Issued and Served March 6, 2007 Order Revoking Certificate Authority By this order, we revoke the domestic all-cargo certificate and the interstate charter certificate issued to Zantop International Airlines, Inc. for reason of dormancy. Section 204.7 of the Department's Aviation Regulations provides that, if an air carrier ceases air transportation operations for which it was found fit, it may neither resume air transportation operations nor advertise such services until its fitness to do so has been re-determined by the Department. Section 204.7 further provides that, if a carrier does not have its fitness re-determined and resume operations within one year of the date of its cessation, its certificate authority will be revoked for dormancy. It has now been more than one year since Zantop ceased operations and we have not received an application from Zantop to have its fitness redetermined. We note that the air carrier surrendered its Air Carrier Certificate and operation specifications to the Federal Aviation Administration on November 30, 2005. Under these circumstances, and in accordance with section 204. of our rules, we find it appropriate to revoke Zantop's certificate authority. This action is without prejudice to the company's filing for new certificate authority in the future. By: Todd Homan |
