Executive Airlines, Inc. d/b/a American Eagle OST-2006-25380 - Exemption - Miami-Cozumel July 11, 2006 Hereby applies for an exemption authorizing scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between Miami, Florida and Cozumel, Mexico. Executive proposes to begin daily Miami-Cozumel nonstop service on December 16, 2006, using 66-seat ATR-72 aircraft. Under the U.S.-Mexico Air Transport Agreement, up to three U.S. carriers may serve the Miami-Cozumel route. No U.S. carrier presently operates nonstop service in this market. Accordingly, Executive's request is fully consistent with the bilateral agreement. Southbound, Executive will depart Miami at 13:00 and arrive in Cozumel at 14:50. Northbound, Executive will depart Cozumel at 15:20 and arrive in Miami at 18:20. Executive requests expedited approval of this application so that we may complete arrangements for initiating Miami-Cozumel operations, effective December 15, 2006, and engage in advance marketing and sales activities at the earliest possible date. May 20, 2008 Application for Renewal of Exemption Hereby applies for renewal of its exemption authority, issued by Notice of Action Taken in this docket on July 27, 2006, authorizing scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between Miami and Cozumel, Mexico. Executive operates daily nonstop service between Miami and Cozumel using 66-seat ATR-72 aircraft. This service is an "activity of a continuing nature" under 5 Usc 558(c).
