OST-2006-24083 - Exemption - La Paz-Los Angeles; Monterrey-Las Vegas February 28, 2006 By this application, Aeromexico seeks an exemption to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between (1) La Paz, Mexico, and Los Angeles, California, and (2) Monterrey, Mexico and Las Vegas, Nevada. Aeromexico will serve each route with two nonstop round trips per week utilizing B-737, MD-87 or other appropriate aircraft. Aeromexico plans to poll the U.S. airlines on the service list and will report the results to the Department. The exemption is requested for one year. February 15, 2008 Application for Renewal of Exemption Authority By this application, Aeromexico seeks renewal of its exemption to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between La Paz, Mexico, and Los Angeles, California, and between Monterrey, Mexico, and Las Vegas, Nevada. The authority was lat renewed by Notice of Action Taken, dated February 20, 2007, and is scheduled to expire on February 20, 2008. Aeromexico is serving the Monterrey-Las Vegas market with two weekly nonstop B-737 flights and the service has been well received. Consequently, Aeromexico seeks renewal of the exemption authority so it can continue serving the route. Although it is not currently offering nonstop service between La Paz and Los Angeles, it would like to renew the authority so service may be instituted when traffic conditions warrant.
