Northwest Airlines, Inc. OST-2006-23981 - Exemption - US-Ecuador - Codeshare with Delta Air Lines February 15, 2006 Northwest seeks exemption authority to provide scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between Atlanta, Georgia, on the one hand, and Quito and Guayaquil, Ecuador, on the other hand. Northwest intends to use this authority to codeshare with Delta, by displaying the NW* code on flights operated by Delta. Delta was recently granted authority by the Department to operate scheduled combination service between Atlanta and Quito/Guayaquil. See Notice of Action Taken, February 7, 2006, Docket OST-2006-23526. Northwest asks the Department to grant it an exemption for a two-year period. Northwest is simultaneously applying in a separate docket for corresponding certificate authority for the Atlanta-Quito/Guayaquil markets. Northwest requests that the Department grant this exemption and process Northwest’s corresponding certificate application in accordance with the new streamlined procedures outlined in the Department’s Notice served August 26, 2005, Docket OST-2005-22228. Filed February 15, 2006 | Issued March 22, 2006 Scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between Atlanta, Georgia, on the one hand, and Quito and Guayaquil, Ecuador, on the other, and authority to integrate this authority with its existing certificate and exemption authority. Northwest intends to operate this service under a code-share arrangement with Delta Air Lines (Delta) by placing its code, “NW*” on flights operated by Delta.
Northwest's application here for exemption authority also references a pending Northwest application for corresponding certificate authority. See Docket OST-2006-23980. We will handle its certificate request separately.
The carrier’s request for route integration authority has been superseded by Order 2006-1-1, where the Department awarded the carrier a blanket route integration certificate. By: Paul Gretch
OST-2006-23978 - Exemption - US-Latin America - Codeshare with Continental Airlines January 18, 2008 Application for Renewal of Exemptions Northwest hereby requests renewal of the exemption authorities, which enable Northwest to offer scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between the United Sates and various foreign points. The exemption services are operated either by Northwest, or its codeshare partners Delta, Continental or ExpressJet. Northwest requests renewal of these exemptions for a period of at least two years.
