Kuwait Airways requests a statement of authorization to display United’s “UA” designator code for mail-only service on flights operated by Kuwait Airways between New York (JFK) and Kuwait via both Frankfurt and London (LHR).  Kuwait Airways and United plan to begin this service 30 days after this authority is granted.

Kuwait Airways currently holds DOT authority to operate scheduled combination (passenger, property and mail) service (a) between New York and Kuwait via Frankfurt and London

The Kuwait-U.S. market is currently underserved and it will benefit the public for the carriers to operate the mail services proposed herein between the United States and Kuwait.
