Thai Airways International Public Company Limited OST-2006-23693 - Exemption - Thailand-US Open Skies January 20, 2006 Thai requests an exemption, consistent with the U.S.-Thailand open skies agreement, granting it authority to conduct (i) scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail from points behind Thailand, via Thailand and intermediate points, to a point or points in the United States and beyond; (ii) scheduled all-cargo services between any point or points in the United States and any point or points in any third country or countries; and (iii) charters between any point or points in Thailand and any point or points in the United States, and between any point or points in the United States and any point or points in third countries, subject to the terms of the agreement and pursuant to the Department's regulations. January 30, 2006 On behalf of Thai Airways, I have polled the representatives of all carriers on the service list attached to the Application of Thai Airways for an Exemption filed January 20, 2006, in the above referenced docket. Filed January 20, 2006 | Issued January 31, 2006 Exemption from 49 USC § 41301 to permit the applicant to engage in: 1) scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail from points behind Thailand, via Thailand and intermediate points, to a point or points in the United States, and beyond; 2) scheduled all-cargo service between a point or points in the United States and any point or points in a third country or countries; and 3) charter foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between any point or points in Thailand and any point or points in the United States, and between any point or points in the United States and any point or points in third countries. January 17, 2008 Application for Renewal of an Exemption Thai respectfully requests that the Department renew its exemption from 49 U.S.C. § 41301 authorizing Thai to conduct (i) scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail from points behind Thailand, via Thailand and intermediate points, to a point or points in the United States, and beyond; (ii) scheduled all-cargo service between a point or points in the United States and any point or points in a third country or countries; and (iii) charter foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between any point or points in Thailand and any point or points in the United States, and between any point or points in the United States and any point or points in third countries, for a minimum period of at least two years, and grant such other and further relief as the Department deems appropriate.
