Application for an Exemption

Frontier requests exemption authority to provide scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between any point or points in the United States and any point or points in Canada utilizing its own aircraft. To initiate Canadian operations, Frontier may offer service from Denver, Colorado, to Canada through a code-share agreement with Horizon. If it utilizes the Agreement with Horizon, Frontier will only act as the marketing carrier with all aircraft operations conducted by Horizon

Frontier plans to commence service to Canada with its own aircraft or by operating under a code-share arrangement with Horizon Air, Inc. on or about May 24, 2006, subject to receipt of all necessary approvals from the Department and the Canadian government.

I have polled the representatives of all carriers on the service list attached to the Application of Frontier Airlines, Inc. for an Exemption filed on January 5, 2006 in the above-referenced docket. All carriers' representatives have advised me that they have no objection to the granting of the request contained in the Application.

Scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between any point or points in the United States and any point or points in Canada. Frontier intends to operate this service using its own aircraft or under a code-share arrangement with Horizon Air, Inc.

The Department is acting on Frontier’s application prior to the expiration of the 15-day answer period with the consent of all parties served.
