Essential Air Service at Palmdale/Lancaster, California Issued January 13, 2006 | Served January 19, 2006 Order Allowing Suspension of Service | Word By this order, the Department is allowing Scenic Airlines, Inc. to suspend its scheduled service at Palmdale/Lancaster, California, because it is less than 70 driving miles from Bob Hope-Burbank Airport, a medium hub. In addition, the Department is waiving the 90-day notice period, and allowing the carrier to terminate service effective January 14, 2006, as it intends. Scenic currently operates two round trips a day, five days a week, between Palmdale/Lancaster and North Las Vegas Airport with 19-seat aircraft.
