Etihad Airways P.J.S.C. hereby submits this Application for an initial foreign air carrier permit to provide scheduled and charter foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail from points behind the United Arab Emirates via the United Arab Emirates and intermediate points to a point or points in the United States and beyond. Concurrent with the filing of this Application, Etihad Airways is applying for corresponding exemption authority.

Etihad Airways seeks this initial foreign air carrier permit in order to commence scheduled service on or about June 2006 between Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on the one hand, and Newark, New Jersey, on the other. Etihad Airways intends to expand its service to additional U.S. points shortly after its presence in the United States is established. The proposed service will be operated on a non-stop basis with Airbus A340-500 aircraft configured to carry 240 passengers.

Etihad Airways amends its response to Request No. 3 with regard to its initial proposed service. Etihad Airways proposes to commence scheduled combination service on or about July 1, 2006 between Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on the one hand, and New York on the other (specifically, John F. Kennedy International Airport).

Etihad Airways supplements its Application with the following proposed service schedule effective July 1, 2006 through October 28, 2006:

Second Supplement

Etihad Airways supplements its Application as follows:

Request No. 8: Etihad Airways' insurance coverage meets the liability limits of 14 CFR Part 205. The insurance is provided by certain Lloyd's underwriters and various insurance companies. A copy of Etihad Airways' Foreign Air Carrier Certificate of Insurance is attached hereto as Exhibit A.

Request No. 12: Etihad Airways has appointed Lufthansa Line Maintenance at JFK International Airport, Terminal 1, to perform non-scheduled maintenance in the United States.
