United Air Lines, Inc. and TAP Air Portugal OST-2005-21686 - Blanket Statement of Authorization - US-Portugal Open Skies June 21, 2005 United requests a statement of authorization for blanket code‑share authority to display TAP's "TP" designator code on flights operated by United I) between any point in the United States and any point in Portugal (either nonstop or via third country intermediate points); 2) between any points within the United States in conjunction with services held out by TAP between Portugal and the United States (either nonstop or via third country intermediate points); and 3) between any point in the United States or Portugal and any point in any third country. TAP requests a statement of authorization for blanket code‑share authority to display United's "UA" designator code on flights operated by TAP I) between any point in Portugal and any point in the United States (either nonstop or via third country intermediate points); 2) between any points within Portugal in conjunction with services held out by United between the United States and Portugal (either nonstop or via third country intermediate points); and 3) between any point in Portugal or the United States and any point in any third country. United also requests an amendment of its exemption authority in Docket OST-04-19148 to enable it to provide third-country code-share services to any point worldwide under TAP's statement of authorization for blanket code-sharing with United. in anticipation of that amendment, United hereby gives notice of its code-share service with TAP to Dakar, Senegal; Maputo, Mozambique; and Sal, Cape Verde. Statement of authorization in OST-2005-21686 for blanket code-share authority for United under 14 CFR Part 212 to: Display TAP’s “TP” designator code on flights operated by United between (1) any point in the United States and any point in Portugal (either nonstop or via third country intermediate points); (2) any points within the United States in conjunction with services held out by TAP between Portugal and the United States (either nonstop or via third country intermediate points); and (3) any point in the United States or Portugal and any point in any third country. May 18, 2006 Notice of Additional Codeshare As required by condition (c) to the Notice of Action Taken dated August 11, 2005 (Dockets OST-2005-21686 and OST-2004-19148), TAP Air Portugal hereby gives notice that, effective on or about June 17, 2006, TAP will display the "UA" designator code of United Air Lines, Inc. on TAP flights between (i) Newark and Oporto, Portugal and (ii) Lisbon and Paris (CDG), France. October 10, 2007 Pursuant to the blanket Statement of Authorization granted to United Air Lines and TAP Air Portugal by Notice of Action Taken, dated August 11, 2005, in the above-referenced docket, United hereby notifies the Department of the display of TAP’s “TP” designator code on flights operated by United between Los Angeles, California and Frankfurt, Germany. United and TAP intend to implement these services on or after December 15, 2007, the expected first date of operation for United’s new LAX-FRA service. June 18, 2008 Re: Amended US and Canada Codesharing Lists United hereby amends the list of U.S. and Canada code-share markets in which it may display TAP's "TP" designator code. Attached hereto is a copy of Attachment A, which was previously filed by United Express carriers in their joint application for code-share authority with TAP. See, OST-2008-0069. Since these markets may be served interchangeably by United and United Express services, this notice will enable United and United Express carriers to operate code-share services interchangeably to the points listed without the need to file repetitive notices as services shift from one carrier to another.
