OST-2005-21605 - Exemption - Durango-Chicago June 16, 2005 By this application, Aeromexico seeks an exemption to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between Durango, Mexico, and Chicago, Illinois. Aeromexico proposes to offer nonstop service over the route two days per week with MD‑87 or other appropriate aircraft. The exemption was granted by Notice of Action Taken, dated June 28, 2005, and currently is set to expire on June 28, 2006. Aeromexico currently is offering two weekly nonstop round trips over the route with B-737aircraft and is providing first nonstop service in the Durango-Chicago market. Thus, the proposed services has generated significant benefits for the traveling and shipping public, and Aeromexico desires to continue the service for an additional year.
