JetBlue Airways Corporation OST-2004-18796 - Exemption - US-Nassau August 2, 2004 Respectfully requests the Department of Transportation to issue an exemption pursuant to 49 U.S.C. Section 41109 and Subpart C of the Department’s Rules of Practice, to allow JetBlue Airways to operate scheduled combination service between the United States (John F. Kennedy International Airport) and Nassau, the Bahamas (NAS). JetBlue proposes to commence operations on this route in November of this year. August 6, 2004 This letter will notify you that we have polled all persons served with JetBlue's referenced application for an exemption and none have interposed an objection to the granting of the authority requested. May 16, 2006 Application for Renewal of Exemption JetBlue Airways Corporation respectfully requests the DOT to renew its exemption originally granted August 13, 2004 allowing JetBlue to continue to operate scheduled combination service between the US (JFK Airport) and Nassau, the Bahamas. JetBlue requests that the renewed exemption be granted for a period of two years or until the Department takes final action on its certificate application filed on March 8, 2004, for the issuance of a certificate of public convenience and necessity for foreign combination service to Nassau and other destinations. JetBlue will operate these routes with Stage 3 compliant airbus A-320 aircraft. JetBlue's A-320 are configured to carry 156 customers.
