Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. OST-03-16361 - Exemption - US-Mexico Codeshare with America West October 21, 2003 Application for an Exemption | Word Hereby submits this Application for Exemption from 49 U.S.C. § 41101 for scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail to the following specified cities in Mexico from Phoenix, Arizona: Acapulco, Cancun, Guadalajara, Hermosillo, Mexico City, Monterrey, Los Cabos and Ixtapa. The proposed service will be offered as a code share with America West Airlines between the United States and Mexico. Granting of the underlying authority will provide additional U.S. carrier competition in the important U.S. bilateral markets of Mexico. Hawaiian plans to commence daily service in the code share markets as soon as DOT and Mexican Government approval is received and the necessary Statement of Authorization are received. Code share service on America West and America West Express carriers Mesa Airlines and Freedom Airlines, will be offered to eight destinations in Mexico from Phoenix, Arizona: Acapulco, Cancun, Guadalajara, Hermosillo, Mexico City, Monterrey, Los Cabos and Ixtapa; with Hawaiian placing its two letter designated code (HA) on flights operated by America West aircraft (HP) and the America West Express carriers Mesa Airlines (YV) to Monterrey and Freedom Airlines (F8) to Guadalajara. Counsel: Dow Lohnes, Jonathan Hill, 202-776-2000, jhill@dlalaw.com OST-03-16361 - US-Mexico Codeshare with America West Filed October 21, 2003 | Issued November 12, 2003 Scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between the terminal point Phoenix, Arizona, on the one hand, and the coterminat points Acapulco, Cancun, Guadalajara, Hermositto, Mexico City, Monterrey, San Jose det Cabo, and Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Mexico, on the other hand. Hawaiian states that it will serve the markets be placing its two letter "HA" designator code on flights operated by America West and the America West Express carriers Mesa Airlines (to Hermositto and Monterrey), and Freedom Airlines (to Guadalajara). By: Paul Gretch OST-03-16361 - US-Mexico Codeshare with America West November 18, 2003 Re: Cease of Codeshare with Freedom Airlines Consistent with our telephone conversation today, it is Hawaiian Airlines' understanding that Freedom Airlines will no longer operate the code share approved flight from Phoenix to Guadalajara and instead that Mesa Airlines will provide that transportation effective December 1, 2003. We would request a change in the exemption affecting this change of carrier and an issuance of a new U.S.-Carrier Code Share Notification reflecting that change. Counsel: Dow Lohnes, Jonathan Hill, 202-776-2725, jhill@dlawlaw.com OST-2001-10736 - US-Mexico February 6, 2006 Confirmation Correspondence with DOT Consistent with my conversations with your staff last week, this will confirm that Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. does not presently operate any service between the U.S. and Mexico as approved in both of the above-referenced dockets.
