OST-03-16269 - Cancun/Mexico City-Boston October 2, 2003 By this application, Aeromexico seeks an exemption to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between Cancun and Mexico City, on the one hand, and Boston, on the other. Starting December 11, 2003, Aeromexico proposes to offer daily nonstop service over each route with B-737-700 or other appropriate aircraft. Aerornexico's proposed service will provide Cancun/Mexico City-Boston travelers with first nonstop service, which will result in significant benefits for Mexico-U.S. passengers and shippers. Although Aeromexico currently is not serving the Cancun‑Boston route, it desires to renew the authority so it may offer service when conditions warrant.

January 18, 2008 By Notice of Action Taken dated February 14, 2007, in the above-referenced docket, the Department granted exemption authority to Aerovias de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. to engage in foreign air transportation between Mexico City, Mexico, and Boston, Massachusetts. The exemption is to expire on February 14, 2008. Please be advised that Aeromexico does not intend to seek renewal of this exemption authority.
