United Air Lines, Inc. OST-03-16073 - US-Mexico Codeshare with US Airways August 29, 2003 Hereby applies for an exemption under 49 U.S.C. §40109 permitting United to hold out scheduled combination service of persons, property and mail between Philadelphia, PA and Cozumel, Mexico, under a code share with US Airways, Inc. United requests that its exemption be granted for a two-year period. United plans to open for sale on this route on as soon as all necessary government approvals have been received for services to begin on December 13, 2003. United's sale of services on US Airways' Philadelphia-Cozumel services will increase competition on this route between the United States and Mexico and will, at the same time, provide United with an important source of additional revenue. There are no U.S. carrier code-share services currently being offered in this city pair. US Airways plans to serve this city pair on a year around basis, beginning in December.
