Application for a Statement of Authorization

Beginning on September 4, 2003, UZB will operate its services between Tashkent, Uzbekistan and New York (JFK) via Belgrade, Yugoslavia rather than via Birmingham, U.K. as it does under its current schedule. Beginning September 14, 2003, UZB will block space for JAT on the Belgrade-New York nonstop sector of the flights, and JAT will sell tickets under its JU* designator code on those flights. Accordingly, UZB requests a statement of authorization in order to implement the proposed blocked-space/code-share arrangement with JAT.

Uzbekistan Airways hereby notifies the Department that its arrangement to block space and code share for Jugoslovenski Aerotransport on UZB's nonstop flights between Belgrade and New York (JFK) has been terminated effective October 31, 2004.
