OST-1999-6701 - Exemption - Monterrey- Las Vegas Filed February 17 and February 24, 2006 | Issued March 17, 2006 Exemption from 49 USC § 41301 to permit the applicant to conduct scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between: 1) Monterrey, Mexico, and Las Vegas, Nevada; 2) Mexico City, Mexico, and Las Vegas, Nevada; 3) Monterrey, Mexico, and Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; and 4) Morelia, Mexico, and Chicago, Illinois. Aviaxsa styled its requests in the captioned Dockets as renewal requests. We note, however, that the applicant’s previous authority in these Dockets had lapsed. Our March 17, 2006 action also awarded Aviaxsa authority to operate between Morelia. Mexico, and Chicago, Illinois. in an additional Docket (OST-2003-15407). February 29, 2008 Application for Renewal of an Exemption Aviacsa hereby applies for renewal of an exemption from 49 U.S.C. 41301 under the provisions of 49 U.S.C. 40109 to permit Applicant to continue scheduled air transportation of persons, property and mail between Mexico City, Mexico and Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States operating a Boeing-737 aircraft. Applicant continues to operate scheduled air transportation between Mexico City, Mexico and Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States under the designation granted by the Mexican Government. Applicant requests that the exemption, effective through March 19, 2008, as per Notice of Action Taken on March 19, 2007, be granted pending the Department’s approval of the amended permit application filed in 1998.
