OST-2003-15253 - US Airways - Phildelphia-Cozumel
|
US Airways, Inc. May 22, 2003 OST-03-15253 - Philadelphia-Cozumel US Airways continues to expand its Caribbean and Latin America services, thereby bringing the benefits of additional competition, new nonstop service, and additional on-line connecting options for numerous cities in the eastern United States to consumers traveling between the United States and those regions. US Airways' proposed service will provide the only scheduled nonstop service from Philadelphia, one of its principal hub networks, to Cozumel. The proposed service will also enhance intergateway competition in the U.S.-Cozumel market. US Airways plans to operate its Saturday-only service on a year-round basis commencing in or around December 2003. For this service, US Airways plans to utilize A-319 aircraft, currently in its fleet, with 120 seats configured as 12F/108Y. US Airways currently serves Cozumel and Cancun from the United States, with plans to commence nonstop service to Mexico City later this year. At present, its only nonstop service to Cozumel, however, is from Charlotte, North Carolina.
