In this application, Applicant seeks to commence operations between Mexico City, Mexico and Houston, Texas. Applicant was designated on the route by the Government of Mexico on July 7, 1998. It is Applicant's understanding that the Department has the designation in hand.
Applicant filed an application to amend it foreign air carrier permit application on March 6, 1998. In said application, Applicant sought to add scheduled air transportation of persons, property and mail between points in Mexico and points in the United States, and subject to applicable regulations of the Department, between points in the United States and points worldwide. The Department has not acted on the amended permit application.

Consorcio Aviacsa, S.A. de C.V. hereby applies for renewal of an exemption from 49 U.S.C. 41301 under provisions of 40 U.S.C. 40109 to permit Applicant to continue scheduled air transportation of persons, property and mail between Mexico City, Mexico and Houston, Texas in the United States operating a Boeing-737 aircraft. Applicant also continues to operate scheduled air transportation between Mexico City-Dallas, Monterrey-Dallas, Morelia-Chicago, Monterrey-Las Vegas, Monterrey-Houston, Monterrey-Chicago and Monterrey-Los Angeles under other current exemptions.
On March 6, 1998, the Applicant filed an application to amend its foreign air carrier permit application to add scheduled air transportation between points in Mexico and the United States, and, subject to Department regulations, between points in the UnitedStates and other points worldwide. The Department has not acted on the application.

Applicant requests that the exemption, effective through June 28, 2006, as per the Notice Of Action Taken on June 28, 2005, be granted pending the Department’s approval of the amended permit application.
Applicant also operates scheduled air transportation between Mexico City-Dallas, Monterrey-Dallas, Morelia-Chicago, Monterrey-Las Vegas, Monterrey-Houston, Monterrey-Chicago and Monterrey-Los Angeles under other current exemptions.
