By this application, Aeromexico seeks an exemption to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between Acapulco, Mexico, and New York, New York. Initially, Aeromexico proposes to offer B-757 round-trip service on Sundays. There currently is no nonstop service or even roundtrip single-plane service in the market so that the proposed service clearly will provide significant benefits for U.S.-Mexico passengers and shippers.
