By this application, Aeromexico seeks renewal of its exemption authority to provide service between Mexico City and Atlanta; Mexico City and Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Monterrey and Atlanta. The authority was last renewed by Notice of Action Taken, dated August 22, 2000. Aeromexico currently is offering daily MD-80 and MD-87 nonstop round trip service in the Mexico City-Atlanta and Mexico City-Dallas/Ft. Worth markets. In addition, Aeromexico and Delta are engaged in reciprocal code sharing in the Mexico City-Atlanta market, and Aeromexico carries Delta code between Mexico City and Dallas/Ft. Worth. Aeromexico also is offering multiple daily nonstop round trips between Monterrey and Atlanta by placing its code on regional jet flights by Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Inc., a Delta Connection.

In addition, Aeromexico and Delta are engaged in reciprocal code sharing in the Mexico City-Atlanta market, and Aeromexico carries Delta code between Mexico City and Dallas/Ft. Worth. The authority was last renewed by Notice of Action Taken, dated October 12, 2005, and will expire on October 12, 2006. Aeromexico currently is offering multiple daily nonstop round trip services in both the Mexico City-Atlanta and Monterrey-Atlanta markets by placing its code on flights operated by Delta Air Lines or the Delta Connections, The public has responded well to the service and Aeromexico desires to continue the service in both markets.
The renewal is requested for one year.

On September 6, 2006, Aerovias de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. filed an application in the above-referenced docket for renewal of exemption authority which permitted it to offer service between Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico, on the one hand, and Atlanta, Georgia, on the other. The application is pending. This is to advise you that with respect to the Monterrey-Atlanta route, Aeromexico seeks renewal of that authority only to the extent that it authorizes Aeromexico to display its code on flights operated by Delta Connection airline, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Inc.

Renewal of exemption from 49 USC 41301 to permit the applicant to conduct scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between: 1) Mexico City, Mexico, and Atlanta, Georgia; and 2) Monterrey, Mexico, and Atlanta, Georgia. Aeromexico states that with regard to its renewal request in the Monterrey-Atlanta market, it seeks renewal of that authority only to the extent that it authorizes Aeromexico to place its code on flights operated by Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Inc.
Our October 12, 2005 action also awarded Aeromexico authority to operate between Mexico City and Dallas/Fort Worth. Aeromexico is not seeking to renew that authority in this application.
