Application for Renewal and Amendment of Certificate of Public Convenience

Hereby requests renewal and amendment of its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for Route 653 permitting ATA to continue to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between Indianapolis, Indiana, and Cancun, Mexico. ATA's certificate for this route was last renewed, amended and reissued for a five-year term on May 30, 2000, by Order 2000-5-31. ATA requests renewal of its certificate for a period of at least five years beyond May 30, 2005. ATA requests further that its certificate be amended and reissued in the name of ATA Airlines, Inc.

Re: Termination of Indianapolis-Cancun

In accordance with the requirements of Order 2000-5-31 and the conditions set forth in ATA Airlines, Inc.'s certificate of public convenience and necessity for Route 653, ATA hereby notifies the Department of Transportation that ATA has terminated service between Indianapolis, Indiana, and Cancun, Mexico. ATA has no objection to allocation of its designation to serve this route to another U.S. carrier. Further, ATA hereby withdraws its pending December 1, 2004, application for renewal and amendment of its certificate to serve Route 653 (Indianapolis-Cancun).
