By this exemption request, Aeromexico seeks renewal of its authority to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between Cozumel, Mexico, and Atlanta, Georgia. Aeromexico currently is operating nonstop round trip service in the market on Saturdays and Sundays using MD-87 aircraft. In addition, Aeromexico carries the code of Delta Air Lines, Inc., on these flights. Notice of Action Taken, dated November 5, 1999, in Docket OST-99-6370. As a result, the public has competitive service available in this market.

By this exemption request, Aeromexico seeks renewal of its authority to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between Cozumel, Mexico, and Atlanta, Georgia. The exemption authority was last renewed by Notice of Action Taken, dated November 8, 2000, and expires on November 8, 2001. Aeromexico currently is operating three weekly nonstop round trips in the market using MD-87 aircraft. In addition, Aeromexico carries the code of Delta Air Lines, Inc., on these flights. Notice of Action Taken, dated November 5, 1999, in Docket OST 99-6370. As a result, the public has competitive service available in this market. For these reason, Aeromexico desires to continue service in the market and thus seeks renewal of the exemption authority.
