North American Airlines, Inc.

North American proposes to initiate scheduled service with three weekly roundtrips with Boeing 757 or 737 aircraft on a New York (JFK)-Georgetown, Guyana-New York (JFK) routing. North American plans to commence this proposed service on July 24, 1999.  

North American has operated continuously and profitably since it commenced service in 1990, and currently operates two Boeing 757-200 and two Boeing 737-800 aircraft. North American provides scheduled service for El Al Israel Airlines under a long-term wet lease and also performs program and ad hoc charters worldwide for a variety of tour -operators, airlines, the U.S. military, etc. North American formerly operated U.S.-Guyana flights for Guyana Airways Corporation, and therefore has experience operating service comparably to that for which exemption authority is sought here. North American holds U.S. Flag carrier status under 14 C.F.R. Part 121 and regularly operates charters to Europe, Africa and Latin America.
