By this application, Aeromexico seeks renewal of its exemption authority to provide service between Mexico City, Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, on the one hand, and San Diego, on the other. The authority was last renewed by Notice of Action Taken, dated October 7, 1998, and currently is set to expire on October 7, 1999. Although Aeromexico currently is serving the markets with intermediate-stop or connecting service, it desires to retain the nonstop authority so it can institute such service when warranted by economic conditions.
