Mexicana looks to conduct one roundtrip flight per day between Mexico City, Mexico and Chicago, Illinois (O'Hare International Airport) using Stage 3 aircraft. Mexicana requests one slot exemption to accommodate an arrival during the 1115 half-hour slot period, and one slot exemption permitting Mexicana to operate one departure during the 1415 half-hour period. Mexicana intends to utilize these slots beginning October 25, 1998 to permit it to continue the operation of existing daily roundtrip flight between Mexico City and Chicago through the end of the 1998-1999 winter season on April 4, 1999.

October 23, 1998 pdficon.gif (87 bytes)Order Granting Exemption Mexico City - Chicago O'Hare

We will grant Mexicana an exemption to enable it to perform one daily Mexico City-Chicago scheduled flight arrival and one daily departure at O'Hare during the 1998/99 winter season. We find that grant of this exemption authority is consistent with the public interest.
