ITA seeks authority to provide scheduled foreign air transportation of property and mail between a point or points in Brazil, on the one hand, and the co-terminal points Los Angeles, California; New York New York (JFK), Atlanta, Georgia; and Miami, Florida, on the other hand, via intermediate points. ITA also seeks authority to operate cargo charter flights between Brazil and the United States, via intermediate points, subject to Part 212 of the Department's regulations.

Initiated its Brazilian air cargo operations in 1990 and for over seven years has provided safe, reliable and convenient cargo service throughout Brazil and South America.   ITA operates a fleet of six aircraft including four Boeing 727-l00F aircraft, two Boeing 727-200F aircraft. ITA intends to add to its fleet an MD-11 or similarly sized wide-body aircraft for its U.S. operations, and expects to add a second MD-11 aircraft during its first year of operations.

Brazil and the four U.S. coterminal points Los Angeles, California; Miami, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; and New York, New York; via intermediate points; and 2) charter operations between Brazil and the United States, and other all-cargo charters

Exemption from 49 USC section 41301 to permit the applicant to conduct, carrying property and mail, for a period of one year: 1) scheduled services between any point or points in Brazil and the four U.S. coterminal points Los Angeles, California; Miami, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; and New York, New York; via intermediate points; and 2) charter operations between Brazil and the United States, and other all-cargo charters in accordance with 14 CFR Part 212.
