Application for Exemption

The requested authority will be used to implement a proposed codesharing arrangement between American and British Midland Airways, Ltd., as described in BMA's accompanying application (undocketed) for a statement of authorization under 14 CFR Part 212. To implement these services, American requires underlying route authority to serve Aberdeen. American also seeks authority to integrate the requested exemption with its existing authority to serve between U.S. points and Manchester (Route 137).

American intends to operate this service pursuant to a code-share arrangement with British Midland Airways. American Airlines also seeks authority to integrate the requested exemption with its existing authority to serve between points in the United States and Manchester, England, in order to operate on a U.S.-Mancbester-Aberdeen routing.
