Application for Amendment of its Foreign Air Carrier Permit

Air New Zealand respectfully requests an amendment to its foreign air carrier permit to allow it to engage in scheduled and charter foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail to the full extent authorized by the Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the United States and the Government of New Zealand:

to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail from points behind New Zealand via New Zealand and intermediate points to a point or points in the United States and beyond;
for all-cargo service, to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation between the United States and any points or points;
to engage in charter foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between any point or points in New Zealand and any point or points in the United States;
to engage in charter foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between the United States and any point or points not in New Zealand or the United States provided that, except with respect to cargo charters, such service constitutes part of a continuous operation that includes service to New Zealand; and
to engage in other charter foreign air transportation as may be authorized pursuant to the Department's regulations.

Amendment of Foreign Air Carrier Permit

Air New Zealand Limited wishes to further supplement its pending request for an amendment to its foreign air carrier permit in this docket, filed May 20, 1998 as supplemented on August 30, 2000. At the request of the Department, attached hereto as Appendix 1 is a list of Air New Zealand’s directors as of August 10, 2000 after giving effect to the stock purchase by Singapore Airlines referred to in the August 30, 2000 supplement.
