Order Approving Agreement

We have decided to approve the revised Articles of Association as filed in this docket, subject to certain conditions. Two of the conditions were previously imposed, while several others are necessary to clarify the application of Department policies. Moreover, we will grant the requested antitrust immunity for the agreement, but only for a period of 18 months while we explore with IATA whether immunity is necessary for its conduct of general trade association activities. The substantive changes to the Articles addressed by IATA, as well as other matters requiring our clarification or comment, are discussed below.
