Requests that the Department of Transportation issue an exemption to the extent necessary to permit TAESA to provide scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between the coterminal points Guadalajara, Zacatecas, Mexico City, Leon (El Bajio), and Morelia, Mexico, on the one hand and Fresno, California on the other hand, and to coterminalize these points with TAESA's existing U.S. coterrninal points authorized by Order 95-3-11

Exemption from 49 USC section 41301 to permit the applicant to conduct scheduled, combination service between the five coterminal points Guadalajara, Zacatecas, Mexico City, Leon (El Bajio) and Morelia, Mexico, and Fresno, California, for a period of one year

On January 8, 1998, we granted TAESA's request to conduct Fresno-Guadalajara/Zacatecas services through January 8, 1999, and deferred action on its request to conduct the additional services, pending receipt of evidence of the applicant's designation under the United States-Mexico Air Transport Services Agreement of August 15, 1960, as amended and extended, to serve those markets. On February 12, 1998, TAESA provided such evidence of designation, and, on February 18, 1998, we granted the applicant authority to serve the additional markets through January 8, 1999.
