Aeromexpress seeks authority to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of property and mail between Las Paz, Mexico, on the one hand, Chicago, Illinois, Los Angeles, California, and New York, New York, on the other. If the exemption is granted, Aeromexpress initially proposes to provide daily allcargo service in the La Paz-Los Angeles and La Paz-New York markets; La Paz-Chicago will be served three times a week. Aeromexpress will use B-727 or DC-8 cargo aircraft.

Supplement to Application for Exemption

On November 17, 1997, Aeromexpress, S.A. de C.V. ("Aeromexpress"), a flag carrier of the United Mexican States, applied for an exemption-from the provisions of 49 U.S.C. 41301 to the extent necessary to permit it to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of property and mail between La Paz, Mexico, and the co-terminals Chicago, Illinois, Los Angeles, California, and New York, New York. Aeromexpress supplements its application as follows:

Aeromexpress has decided not to pursue authority to serve the La Paz-Chicago market and hereby withdraws its request for such authority.
