Aeromexico seeks authority to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between Guadalajara, Mexico, and Phoenix, Arizona. The service initially will consist of two weekly DC-9S/MD-88 round trips to be operated on weekends. Northbound flights will be operated on Fridays and Saturdays with return flights on Saturdays and Sundays. There currently is no single-plane service in the market although Aeromexico does offer on-line connecting service.

By this application, Aeromexico seeks renewal of its exemption authority to provide service between Guadalajara and Phoenix. The authority was granted by Notice of Action Taken, dated February 13, 2007, and currently is set to expire on February 13, 2008. Aeromexico currently is serving the market with three weekly B-737 nonstop round trips. The response to the service has been satisfactory and Aeromexico wants to continue the service for another year.
