Application for Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity

PAI was founded as a Florida corporation in September 1995 for the purpose of providing charter air transportation between U.S. cities and vacation destinations in the United States and abroad. PAI intends to operate charter flights within the United States, its territories and possessions and to a variety of foreign destinations, as requested by charter operators, using Boeing 727 aircraft. PAI also expects to enter into charter agreements with charter operators for ad hoc charters serving the Bahamas and other Caribbean markets during its first year of operations.

Planet confirms that it will use a B-727-100 aircraft for its operations. The aircraft will be configured with a 108-seat configuration. Planet's board of directors will continue to consist of three members, Louis Perlman (chair), Peter V. Garrambone and Anthony DeCamillis. These three individuals will each hold one-third of the shares of Planet Airways. Compliance disposition statements for Mr. Holt, Mr. Boudrie and Mr. Sicular are set forth as Exhibit A. Also included is a resume for Mr. Boudrie. A statement of confirmation with respect to the line of credit held by Planet is set forth as Exhibit B. Planet respectfully seeks waiver of the Department's requirements with respect to the waiting period between the time Planet's op-specs are issued by the FAA and the time the Department makes Planet's certificate effective.

By this order, we are revoking the company’s companion foreign charter certificate authority.  Instead of repeating our findings and conclusions in Order 2006-7-21, we incorporate them here by reference.
