Application for an Emergency Exemption
The Boeing Commercial Airplane Group/Wichita Division ("Boeing") has requested that Antonov transport from Wichita to Seattle certain aircraft parts that are being assembled in Wichita for installation on B-777 aircraft. Specifically, Boeing has contracted for Antonov to ship two thrust reverser halves that measure 163 x 140 x 92 inches each and weigh approximately 6,600 lbs. each, plus ancillary equipment. These parts must be transported from Boeing's facility in Wichita to its facility in Seattle on September 25, 1997.

Supplement No. 1 to Application for an Emergency Exemption
Antonov's charterer, the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group/Wichita Division ("Boeing"), has now requested that Antonov also transport additional thrust reverser equipment from Wichita to Seattle that is urgently required to support Boeing's commercial airplane programs in Seattle.

Exemption from 49 U.S.C. 40109(g) to operate one one-way emergency cabotage cargo charter flight between Wichita/McConnell AFB, Kansas, and Seattle/Boe~ng Field, Washington, on or about September 25, 1997, using its AN-124 aircraft, on behalf of the Boeing Commercial Airline Group, to transport thrust reverser halves and related equipment for 777 aircraft, and specified aircraft parts for other Boeing commercial airplane programs.
