The agreement is comprised of resolutions between the South West Pacific region of Area 3,~and two sub-areas in Area 1, North America/Caribbean and South America. The agreement makes structural changes, amends conditions of travel, and generally increases the level of fares. Structural Changes: Structural changes include the re-introduction of restricted normal fares between New Zealand, Cook Islands, and Fiji, on the one hand, and Canada and the United States on the other hand, and from Canada and the United States to Australia; the introduction of intermediate class excursion fares from the United States to Cook Islands, Fiji, and Polynesia; the introduction of selected fares to and from Central America by specification of fares to and from Guatemala City (other Central American points have zero add-one over Guatemala City); and the establishment of weekend fare levels for first and intermediate fares from South America via Los Angeles.
