Application
for Renewal of Exemption
Pursuant to Section 40109(c) of Title 49, U.S. Code, Japan Asia Airways Company, Ltd. ("JAA") , hereby applies to the Department of Transportation for renewal of its exemption from Section 41301 of the same Title, enabling it to conduct scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between Nagoya, Japan, and Guam and Saipan. JAA requests renewal of the exemption for a period of not less than one year or until 90 days following final action by the Department on JAA's pending permit application in Docket 47814, whichever period ends first. The existing exemption expires on March 21, 1998.
