Application
for Renewal of Exemption
Northwest seeks renewal of its authority to engage in the transportation of persons, property and mail in foreign air transportation between, on the one hand, points in the United States, and, on the other hand, Muscat, Oman and Doha, Qatar. Northwest serves these markets via Amsterdam, the Netherlands, pursuant to a code-share agreement between Northwest and KLM under which KIM operates aircraft on the segments beyond Amsterdam.
Northwest is no longer offering code-share services to Doha due to KLM's cancellation of its Amsterdam-Doha operations. Northwest seeks renewal of its exemption authority to serve Doha, however, to enable Northwest to reinstate its code-share services to Doha in the event KLM resumes service in the market.
