Eurowings Luftverkehrs AG (Exemption Renewal, Codeshare with Northwest)
OST-95-746 | November 24, 1997
Application
for Renewal of Exemption and Statement of Authorization
Under the codeshare agreement between Eurowings and KLM, Eurowings, on behalf of KLM, currently operates with its own aircraft and crews the Amsterdam-Germany segments of certain U.S.-originating and U.S.-destined Northwest and KLM scheduled flights. Northwest and KLM flights operating over U.S.-Amsterdam-Germany routes carry Northwest and KLM codes. Northwest and KLM operate the U.S.-Amsterdam segments and Eurowings operates the Amsterdam-Germany segments. Eurowings does not sell seats in its name for travel to or from the United States and does not operate its aircraft to any U.S. point. Similarly, neither Northwest nor KLM sells seats in their names on these flights for travel in the local Amsterdam-Germany market. Local Amsterdam-Germany flights operated by Eurowings under the codeshare agreement continue to carry Eurowings' code and Eurowings sells seats under its code in the local Amsterdam-Germany market.
