OST-96-1603 and 95-325 | June 6, 1997

Re: Application for Consolidation and Renewal of Exemption Authorities – Corrected Copy

Enclosed for filing in the above-referenced proceedings is a corrected copy of the Application of Northwest Airlines, Inc. for Consolidation and Renewal of Exemption Authorities, filed on June 4, 1997. This correction reflects an incorrect docket number contained on the cover and first page of Northwest's June 4 Application. Specifically, Northwest's June 4 Application contained a caption referencing "Docket OST-97-1603". The correct Dockets in which Northwest's June 4 Application for Renewal and Consolidation should be filed are OST-96-1603 and OST-95-325. A copy of this letter and the attached corrected copy of Northwest's June 4, 1997 Application are being mailed today to all parties on the attached service list.

OST-95-325 | May 27, 1998

pdficon.gif (87 bytes)Application for Renewal of Exemption to Codeshare

Northwest seeks renewal of its existing exemption authorizing Northwest to provide scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between the U.S. and the U.K. by code-sharing on flights operated by Air U.K. between Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and points in the U.K. (except London's Heathrow and Gatwick Airports), and between London Gatwick and points in the U.K. (except Heathrow). The Department last granted Northwest the aforementioned blanket exemption authority by Notice of Action Taken dated December 19, 1997, effective through July 24, 1998. Northwest provides these services by displaying its two letter designator code on Air U.K. flights between, on the one hand, Amsterdam and London Gatwick and, on the other hand, points in the United Kingdom. Northwest does not hold out service in the local Amsterdam-U.K. or London Gatwick-U.K. markets but rather sells online transportation between points in the United States and points in the United Kingdom only.
