| OST-00-8325 | December 8, 2000 | Response of Southeast Iowa Regional Airport Authority | 90-Day Notice to Terminate Service at Burlington, Iowa |
For the next several years we have scheduled FAA/Airport Improvement Projects. Beginning in the spring of 2001 phase I of our taxiway Alpha relocation will begin construction. Phase II and III will begin the following two years. All three phases of the taxiway project will total nearly 5 million dollars. On the heels of the taxiway projects will be the overlay of runway 18/36. This project will be separated into at least 3 phases totally over 5 million dollars. Even though the FAA will pay for 90% of these projects our 10% match will be even more difficult for us to find with the departure of Great Lakes. The loss of this service could jeopardize these needed improvements.
