Mexicana requests authority from the Department to engage in scheduled combination foreign air transportation between Mexico City. Mexico and Ontario, California. Roundtrip service will be operated six times weekly under a single flight number via an intermediate stop at Guadalajara. Mexico. Mexicana will operate flights with Airbus A320 aircraft configured to seat 150 passengers. Service will begin on March 15, 2001.

Exemption from 49 USC section 41301 to permit the applicant to conduct scheduled, combination service between Mexico City, Mexico, and Ontario, California.
Mexicana currently holds Department authority to conduct scheduled service between Guadalajara, Mexico, and Ontario, California, and indicates that it proposes to conduct its Mexico City-Ontario service via Guadalajara. Under the authority we are granting here, Mexicana, at its option, may conduct its Mexico City-Ontario service either directly or on a coterminal basis with Guadalajara.

Information available to the Department indicates that Pan-Air has no plans to prosecute this application.

Renew exemption, last granted October 2, 1996, and confirmed by Order 96-10-12, issued on October 8, 1996, to continue to conduct passenger charter operations between Mexico and the United States, and other passenger charters in accordance with 14 CFR Part 212, using small equipment. Information available to the Department indicates that Aero Siete has no plans to prosecute this application.
