Southeast plans to operate services under the requested certificate with its existing two McDonnell Douglas DC9-32 and its two recently acquired DC9-31 aircraft. Southeast anticipates no difficulty in obtaining fuel for these services. The reorganized Sun Jet (name changed to Southeast Airlines, Inc. in May 1999) has been providing charter air service to tour operators requiring air service for scheduled charters and/or ongoing charter programs as well as providing sub-service for other charter air carriers requiring additional air service due to mechanical, operational or supplemental requirements since it was authorized by the Department to resume operations on 12 February 1999. Most services that have been provided have been based on an ACMI basis. Southeast's primary customer has been Casino Airlink, with supplemental work provided for other customers such as Lorair, Sun West, Miami Air, Falcon Air, Access Air, U.S. Marshall's Service, Washington press corp and Bill Bradley for President campaign.
Southeast currently operates one aircraft for Casino Airlink based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Casino Airlink program provides service to gambling casinos between St. Petersburg, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Meyers, Orlando, Charlotte, Dallas and San Antonio to Gulf Port, Mississippi. The Casino Airlink program is presently running a 90%+ load factor. Southeast has been operating this program for over 20 months with a 200 hour per month guarantee. Southeast has been active in the ad hoc market providing lift on one-month to three-month basis to parties like the U.S. Marshall's Service, Bill Bradley for President campaign, Washington press corps, and various casinos in New Orleans and Memphis, along with subservice for other charter airlines.
